Valentine's Day Party

We started off with a relay.  Carry the candy heart in
a spoon.  Go around the chair, come back and
drop it in a cup.

How tall of a tower can you build with candy hearts in
one minute?

This was a great idea for the bird-loving class!  Pin
the beak on the Flamingo was a lot of fun!

The lunch was delish!!!  Thank you to the Valentine's
Day committee!  It was a great party!

It was finally time to open Valentine's Day cards and candy!

I was happy to see that some were reading their cards!

February Art

This art project that I created years ago is one of my
favorites!

The kindergartners wrote about what they loved and they
each made a beautifully painted heart.
The Valentine's Day sack were sure pretty!

A Gift From Hong Kong

My friend went on a trip to Hong Kong, China.

A big thank you to Sandra Urquieta!

Penguin Booklet

I was the author and the kindergartners
were the illustrators.  I thought their
drawings were adorable.

A Puppy Comes to Visit

This little girl brought her new puppy to
"Show and Tell".  Maisy was a big hit!

Groundhog Day

A puppet and a poem was the perfect time to teach these young children how to perform an act for an audience.  We talked a lot about how to do and practiced before our performance for the 1st graders.  The kindergartners were really proud of themselves!

On February 2nd, Phil Groundhog pops out to see,
Just how much winter there's going to be.
If the day is cloudy, he plays outside,
but if it is sunny...he pops back to hide.

This girls had her parents bring her baby goats to
schoolfor Show and Tell.

The Last Day of School!

What a great year we had in kindergarten!  The children worked so hard on their reading skills and it paid off in a big way because they ...
